2020 YLNI Leadership Institute kicks off
The Young Leaders of Northeast Indiana (YLNI) Leadership Institute welcomed its newest class of emerging leaders on Wednesday night. Now in its 15th year, YLNI’s Leadership Institute connects young professionals with their peers and their community as they advance in their career skills.
Through hands-on instruction, small group activities, personal reflection, and sharing, participants develop skills needed to help them grow in their careers and community. Topics range from personality recognition and communication effectiveness to board stewardship and diversity in the workplace.
"This year's class consists of 42 participants from over 30 different organizations in the for-profit and non-profit sectors," Justin Hayes, vice president of leadership development, said. "The selection committee had their work cut out for them with over 65 highly competitive applicants applying for the 2020 class. We are excited for another great year and to see what this class will do moving forward."
These emerging leaders from across northeast Indiana will complete the six session course over the next four months at a variety of sites in Fort Wayne. A graduation ceremony will be held at 5:30 pm on April 9 at Parkview Field (Suite Level Lounge).
