The Fort Wayne Football Club opened its inaugural game against Toledo Villa Football Club to a packed home crowd. The Fort Wayne and Toledo mayor were both in attendance to present the game ball. Both the Fort Wayne FC and Toledo Villa FC joined the United Soccer League (USL) in 2020, but were unable to compete due to the pandemic. This year is the first season of play for both teams. Fort Wayne FC dedicated its first game of play to the United States Armed Forces protecting our country and the frontline healthcare workers and personnel who risk their lives to protect us.
